This last Monday we had her mouth fixed. It was a traumatic experience for all 3 of us. We were waiting for her turn, when they come and tell me to hold her on my lap facing sideways. The dental assistant then distracts Constance with little toys she could pick out of and take home with her. As she is looking at them the Anesthesiologist gives her a tranquiliser in the arm. She cried for like 5 seconds before it starts to kick in. Then I watch as my little girl is carried into the dental chair. She looked so lifeless. It made me cry. Then about an hour
later they come and get us to be with her while they start to wake her up. They then told me she would have double vision for a while, and might start throwing up (which she did on
Cory as he was
caring her to the car) The rest of the day was hard. She was half out of it for a few hours and crying after that (she
didn't understand why her mouth was numb and did not understand the sensation of a numb mouth.) and her gums were really sensitive for a couple days after. (still are a little)
We had a nice Christmas, I will post about that another day when I get our pictures developed. I am just
SO thankful that her mouth is fixed. That her infection is gone. And for the Merry Christmas that she had.
