Fire!!!

So I decided to make bread today, so I moved Cory's fry machine on a back burner on the stove so I could have more counter room. Then I thought "grandma Henrie's carrots sound good" so I got the carrots in the pan ready to boil and turned on the burner. I then went and sat by Constance and was waiting a few minutes for the water to boil, Then I hear the fire alarm go off. I look over at the stove and I see flames shooting up and reaching my cupboards. I run over and stupid me thought "water" and this made the flames jump to about four feet, I called mom and dad cause I didn't know what to do. They told me to spread baking soda on it, so of course I couldn't find any. and the oil from the machine kept feeding the fire. so while the fry daddy was still on fire I put it in an empty box, the whole time praying the box didn't start on fire I took it out side to let that fire burn down while keeping an eye on it. I then went back to the fire on the stove and watched it burn out since the flames were down to about 5-6 inches.. didn't know what else to do. I knew flour was flammables too. Well the fry daddy is dead now. and I have black from the smoke all over my cupboards wall behind the stove and counter. I think the toxins from the melted plastic made Constance sick.. cause when Cory got home the smell was over whelming to him so we went to Wendy's for dinner just to get out of the smokey smelling house. Constance was really quite the whole time at Wendy's and when we got home she was puking all over the place. After I cleaned that up, Constance told me " Mommy I just want to go to bed" poor thing, during the fire she kept yelling at me " do something Mommy there is a fire" as if I wasn't doing anything!..lol I'm just glad its all over, and we are all safe... though my eyes to hurt now.

The Mom Test

I was out walking with my four year old daughter.
She picked something off the ground and started to put it in her mouth.
I took the Item away and asked her not to do that.
'Why?' my daughter asked.
'Because its been on the ground, you don't know where its been, its dirty and probably has germs' I replied. At this point my daughter looked at me with total admiration and asked,
'Momma, how do you know all this stuff, you are so smart?'
I was thinking quickly. 'All moms know this stuff, Its on the Moms test.
You have to know it or they don't let you be a mom.
We walked in silence for 2-3 minutes, she was evidently Pondering this new information.
'OH... I get it' she beamed 'So if you don't pass the test, you have to be the Dad.
'Exactly, I replied back with a huge smile on my face!

My mom emailed this to me, I thought it was cute so I decided to share!

Eternal Perspective

Last night I was at work, watching over the self scan machines. It was really slow, so when there was not a costumer I would read a couple lines out of this book just sitting there, I don't remember what it was called. But it was about this Lady and she had just had a baby, and it was born with a birthmark on her face. Because this baby was not perfect looking like "she" was, she did not want the little girl. This got me thinking. I thought that when a mom gave birth. That no matter what the child looks like, even with birth marks or Handicaps. That the baby through their eyes was the most Beautiful, most precious thing in the world to them. and was perfect no matter what birth mark or handicap it had. It is sad how others see it.

So I changed my background to a Temple to help remind me, on a daily basis what really matters. To help me see the Eternal perspective of things.

Birthaday fun at the Museum

I can't get my scanner to work to show you pictures of our adventure on my Bday so I have to load them on here on a later date. I decided to take Constance to the tree house museum in Ogden. we drove to the 4500S. trax and rode the trax to the front runner, If you have never rode on the front runner, you really should. Kids love riding on the double Decker train and since it is new it is still really clean and it is such a smooth ride no jerking at all like the trax. The ride on the Front runner lasted for about an hour. which was not to bad, I just wish Constance didn't want to run around so much. I should have brought a card game with us for her. Since they have tables between the seats like your eating at a fast food place. It was nice having our own table. Tough I think more people use it to lean over and sleep on, I know that is what I would do if I was all alone. Me and Cory do not take very much advantage of public transportation. But we should since Cory works with them we get free bus passes. After we got off the front runner we had to walk 4-5 Blocks East, which I know is not far at all. But the wind was so hard and cold it felt like it was cutting threw us. I'm just glad we brought the stroller. I know Constance would have made us carry her if we hadn't brought it. We got there and it was only $14 for all of us. It is such a fun place for little kids. one area is a big garden and there is an over sized couch that is really a grandma and your sitting on her lap. then off to her left is a play kitchen area, so kids can sit and listen to story time (the couch tells you story's) or they can play in the garden or in the kitchen area. Then after that there is an area where you pretend that you are a doctor and a dentist and, and they even had fake ex rays that really work. Constance liked putting the skeleton puzzle together. Another room that we liked was the music room, they had lots of drums and instruments the children could play. In the Center of the museum there is a big tree which you can either climb the winding steps up inside the tree to get to the upstairs and there is also a big slide the kids can slide down from the top of the tree. There is so much you can do at this museum, but my post is too long as it is.. Maybe when I get the pictures I will tell you more about it. It is way fun, and even all the parents were getting in the fun too.. sometimes a little too much. o-well it was a very fun day. We had so much fun with Constance. I'm sure we will be going back.

29 again!?!

What do you know, I just turned 29 Again!!!... I should Bottle this little magic potion. And become a Billionaire in no time at all! or keep it all to myself... Wahahahaha!!

We had a great time today, I will blog more about it at a later date when I have all the pictures ready to scan! Thank you to all who sent me Birthday wishes today.

Up and Running again

Sorry I have not posted in Quite some time. Our Computer Crashed. But thanks to Missy and her awesome husband it is up and running again. Thank you, Missy and Jason!!

I will post pictures of my Roller Coaster Cake soon..
