Constance is 6!!

My baby turned six the other day, she is growing up so fast!  She is in Kindergarten for the second time since her birthday was after the deadline, Which is fine with me. I love that she goes to work with me every day!  It makes it feel like Im not even at work.  But this next year when she will be in first grade I will have to find a job out here in Grantsville.  and again I have been thinking about shutting my blog down.  not because I post everything on facebook (which I do) but at least on facebook I get feedback on my thoughts. When I blog I feel like Im just talking to myself.  here is some pictures of my babe since it was her birthday on the 2nd of this month  Enjoy :)

So the goverment sucks!, no more 3 day weekends for me :(  but on the otherhand with my new work schedule I dont work 10 hour shifts anymore.  But I do work on Corys day off..  so its a toss up.  I do however like getting off at 2.  It felt so weird today to get off so early.  Now I will be able to make dinner for Cory and have it hot and ready when he gets home, which is just  in a few minutes so gotta run!

Diamond Candle

Have you heard of diamond Candles?  Its a candle company that places a ring in every candle. To get to your ring you have to burn your candle about an inch down and then you will find your ring wrapped in a couple of layer to protect it.  Each ring can be valued at 10-5000 dollars, its all random.  you never know what kind of ring you will get. I orderd one and it came in the mail today. Its a 21 Oz candle for 25$ and I got the Carnival Candy scent.  Love it and I love my ring.  It is stamped on the inside but I cannot tell what it says, I need a magnifier!..lol.. Wow... a post.. really?

Im sorry I have not posted in a long time.  I didnt forget, I just didnt want to.  Most things that I even thought of to post would have been negative. I dont really like posting negative things... so ya.   and really I hate posting things because I post everything on facebook.  So if ya want to know whats up with us your going to have to look on facebook people.  I might post pictures every now and then..  whatever...

Rainbow needed

On Sunday on our drive out to Amy's house in Idaho our KIA broke down we managed to get a ride back to our house to get our van.  We were not too far from home so wanted to still make the drive.  We had a nice visit and when we got home had our KIA towed to a shop in Tooele.  While waiting to hear back about the KIA I managed to drive over a chunk of metal in the rode in our Mazda early  Tuesday or Wednesday morning. Cory had the Mazda fixed yesterday 2 tires, 1 rim = $400.

Then this morning we heard from the shop on our KIA that we have had for just a couple of months that it needs a whole new engine!! 2,500 for a used one plus the tow.  The car lot we got the 2005 KIA from told us if we had any problems with the KIA to let them know and they would help us.  I hope they stay true to their word!  we REALLY need them too...

So not only is it raining on us at the moment its POURING!! and we had plans to take Constance to Disneyland this October for her first time.. I really hope that will still work out.

Prym Maxi Knitting Mill

I got my Prym Maxi knitting mill in the mail today, Its how I spent my Birthday money from my MIL.  I'm still trying to figure it all out.  Thank goodness for you tube :) I have been watching movies on how to do everything on it.. The instructions it comes with are useless pretty much.

Tomorrow we are driving to Idaho to see my sister Amy's house and to visit with them, it should be fun :)  I'm sooo glad that Cory and I both have Monday off.  I hate his schedule right now and the fact that we don't have a day off together till Sunday.  My weekends are pretty quite without him.  I know what your thinking.. Quite with a five year old how do I manage that..lol  that's MY secret  :)

33 and IM NOT OLD :)

I had a nice birthday.  We spent the day running around just having some fun.  Stopped by Cold Stone for some Ice Cream :P   and went to dinner at Spaghetti Mommas at Jordan Commons. Its my favorite spot to eat :) at least for right now it is..lol  I mad an owl cake.. Which went to waste, no one came to have any with us..lol  I got some Clinique Happy in Bloom perfume which smells sooo good. 
And I got a card in the mail from Libby (Th@nks Libby!)

It really was a nice day. Cory treated me like a princess.  But he does that most days. 

Shappu2000!

Yea I bought my replacements!!, Six dollars for a package of 10 knives and they are awesome!!.. Really..  you all NEED these knives :)  Just like they say they never need to be sharpened!.. Sorry I sound like a commercial don't I..lol

Goals for 2011

So I have decided finally..lol what goals I would like to accomplish this year.   Cory and I as a couple want to make it back to the temple.  That is our couple goal this year.  I have a bunch of personal ones but my main ones are

1. I want to be beautiful
2. I want to lose weight
3. I want another child

They are going to all be so tough.  I don't want to give up on myself  so I hope to have the motivation to work on them.  And just a reminder only six days till my birthday.. ya!!

Mourning my Shappu2000

When Cory and I were first married we were in walmart one time waiting in line to check out, we see this box set of 10 Shappu2000 knives that claim they never need to be sharpened.  We've all seen sets like these right? well what made these ones stand out was that they were only 1$  for the set.  I'm thinking ya right!! These are probably garbage..  I threw a set in the cart I figured heck they are only 1$ I will chance it for a dollar!!  Little did I know that they would be our favorite knives in the whole house!  They are the sharpest knives ever!!  over the years we have dwindled down to about 3 left. And today sadly I broke one.  I was going to show you all the broken knife but the server to upload pictures onto blogger is not working right now.. I will try later.

Sad times..

I have seen that they do still sell the knives online for 12.95 a set.  I like the dollar price tag better but I will have to order some, They work awesome!!  and just like they claim they never do need to be sharpened!

We are all doing well other than the fact that its that time of year to be sick.  I'm still working full time and lately I have had some struggles with my job.  Ive been in tears the last couple of days I have worked.  Its not something I should get into details on here, and I don't think the issue will be over soon.  I just have to deal.
Constance is doing really well she is such a good reader!! she is reading  on a first grade level :)  Cory and I don't know whether or not she will attend kindergarten again where I work (she did not make the age deadline for public kindergarten) or if we will put her in public kindergarten or if we will have her tested for the first grade cause she is so dang smart.  I want to do whats best for her but what tempts me is to have her go to kindergarten where I work next year so I can peak on her thru out the day :)  we will see.

Cory's 1986 Thunder bird died recently so we took it to pick and pull and they gave us 274.00 for it.  Since then he has purchased a 2005 KIA Rio to drive to work.  They say its blueberry colored but I say its a  pale metallic lavender.

And just a reminder for all of you out there a week from Monday is my BIRTHDAY so you still have a couple of days to buy me a present :)

Cheesy Potato Corn Chowder

 Cheesy potato corn chowder!!..  so good you will regret not making it.

2 tablespoons margarine


1 cup chopped celery

1 cup chopped onion

2 (14.5 ounce) cans chicken broth

3 cups peeled and cubed potatoes

1 (15 ounce) can whole kernel corn

1 (4 ounce) can diced green chiles

1 (2.5 ounce) package country style gravy mix

2 cups milk

1 cup shredded Mexican-style processed cheese food

Directions:

1.In large saucepan, melt margarine over medium high heat. Add celery and onion; cook and stir until tender, about 5 minutes.


2.Add chicken broth; bring to a boil. Add potatoes; cook over low heat for 20 to 25 minutes or until potatoes are soft, stirring occasionally.

3.Stir in corn and chiles; return to boiling. Dissolve gravy mix in milk; stir into boiling mixture. Add cheese; cook and stir over low heat until cheese is melted.

I also added chicken boiled chicken breast.  So good and easy to make!!

Yea a post!!!

Our computer died and as I type its in bits and pieces in our garbage can.  Well Santa must have thought that we were super good and he left us a new computer!, Thanks Santa!  So hopefully I will be able to post more often. We had a nice holiday season in our new home. Im sure it will be one to remember for a looonng time.  Here is a photo of Constance sitting on Santas lap, Isnt she the cutest fivve year old you've ever seen?

Constance turned 5 on September 2nd. Happy birthday to my babe!!  we had allot of fun with her for her birthday at Hogle Zoo, She took along with her several of her cousins  on the Jones side of the family.  We had a great day.  Also Constance is now in Kindergarten!, my baby is getting all grown up! and way to fast!!  She is taking Kindergarten at the Pre-school/Daycare that I work for.  They offer kindergarten there, way convenient since I am now working there full time. we are not sure what we will be doing with her schooling next year since she did not make the deadline. We may have to have her attend Kindergarten again.  We will see.  Another plus about her going to Kindergarten where I work is that they are only open Mon-Thurs. Constance and I are there 10 hours a day, I think the ten hour days get hard for when Thursdays roll around but its nice having three day weekends.  On another note about my job, I moved from the infant room to the toddler room.  I like the change, there is allot more things you can do with my 4 kids that I am in charge of in the Toddler room.  The bad side... They are not potty trained so I am still wiping poopy butts all day..lol  I also had a Mom of one of the Toddlers, as soon as she found out that I was the new teacher moving into the toddler room well the mom I will call her "K" she had a fit!! and moved her child into another class. I do not know what I have done to upset "K" so much.  I know I can not make everyone happy so I am not going to stress over the situation, I just wish I knew what I did.

I Just had to

My babe is so cute and I love her so much. so I just had to take a picture of her today. Just because.  So this is her today ready for church.  So ya Cory and I are weirded out by our neighbor, every time we go outside he is promptly in our driveway. So I'm thinking   "are you watching us ALL the time"  how else would he know when we are outside.  He does not talk much either except to tell you his problems.  This is the same neighbor that asked us if he could have our fire pit.  I thought it was just me that was feeling uncomfortable around this man but Cory told me he was yesterday too. So we checked to see if  he was a registered sex offender, cause you never know..  well and it was good to find out if there was any on our street and there is not so that's good.  I don't know what it is but that man just makes me nervous.

Did you all see on KSL news that there will be a public viewing of  Joseph Smiths Jr  Bible, tomorrow in Salt Lake? and that it is for sale for 1.5 Million.. Crazy.. Maybe I will go see it.  Hope everyone is doing well.
